I had an overnight pulse oximeter through Apria Healthcare. Apria is a member of my insurance and my insurance would pay for this without pre-authorization.

I received a bill from Virtuox stating : "We have submitted these charges to your insurance on file and they have determined the above balance is due.". I contacted my insurance company and they tell me that they never received a bill from Virtuox and that they would have to obtain a pre-authirization to cover it because they are not a member. Virtuox is trying to scam me by lying to me about them submitting this bill to my insurance. Furthermore there is a Federal law stating that they cannot bill me if they know that my insurance is Medicaid.

I called Virtuox and they do know that I am on Medicaid.

I asked them why I received a bill and why they lied to me about submitting the bill to my insurance. I got hung up on.......
